Nha Trang University (formerly the University of Fisheries) is one of the leading universities in the country in training, research and technology transfer in the field of fisheries, aquaculture and marine resource management. With more than 20 years of effective cooperation with Norwegian universities in training and research in fishery and marine resource management, Nha Trang University continues to receive support from the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) to jointly operate the NORHED Phase II Project with her main partner, UiT – The Arctic University of Norway and two other partners, IPB University of Indonesia and University of Cape Coast of Ghana on “Ecosystem-based Management for Coastal Resources in Ghana, Indonesia and Vietnam”. The main component of the Project is the development of a PhD programme in Marine Resource Economics and Management to train highly qualified human resources for universities and research institutes in Vietnam, Ghana and Indonesia. With the approval of the Ministry of Education and Training for doctoral training in Marine Resource Economics and Management, Nha Trang University announces recruitment call for candidates in this PhD programme.
